Our mission
Making elite coaching accessible to every hockey player.
The big platforms were built to sell pros advanced stats at pro prices, then handed to the richest programs as-is. Taggley turns the same game video into real player development, within every program’s reach.
Our origin story
We didn’t just study the problem. We lived it.
As coaches, we saw firsthand how the system was failing young athletes, parents, and trainers alike.

Bryan
Coach · U15 AAACoaching at the U15 AAA level, Bryan identified the weaknesses in the existing tools. Most teams don’t have the budget, and the existing tools don’t actually develop players.
Existing tools are built for pros, not to develop an entire minor-hockey team.
- The tech is outdated or clunky. It’s built around advanced stats, not development.
- Priced for pro budgets. Never for what an organization can actually spend.
- Learning gets capped by budget and tools never built to teach.

Cédric
Private CoachTen years coaching athletes showed Cédric a real gap. If a coach never sees their athlete play a game, they can never teach decision-making just for them.
Coaching skills is easy. Coaching IQ sets you apart.
- Private coaching happens on the ice, it should also in the off-ice moments where real connections build real bonds.
- No coach can see all their players develop at 20 different rinks on a Saturday afternoon.
- Players stack skills, but they never grow hockey IQ. They should build a bond with a mentor who puts their development first.

Joseph
Business Lawyer · Finance & DesignA business lawyer with deep expertise in finance and design, Joseph built Taggley’s structure so parents always know what’s going on. Whether that’s the player’s progress or their data.
Trust, engineered into the foundation.
- Parents stay included in how their player is developing.
- Compliant with Quebec’s Bill 25 and US COPPA. Built in from day one.
- A safe, structured platform parents and associations can truly trust.
Three founders. Three sides of the same broken system. So we built the one platform that fixes all of it.

Frequently asked questions
Taggley is the first all-in-one hockey platform built to grow your hockey IQ and a lasting connection with a coach. It brings video analysis, player-led active learning, and a coach marketplace together in one affordable place — for ages 12 and up, and free to start.
Most pro analysis tools are built for other sports with hockey bolted on, charge a pro price, and can take up to a week to deliver clips. Taggley is hockey-first at a fraction of the cost, with recaps ready in under an hour — and your player actually learns by tagging their own film instead of just being filmed.
We keep short, focused recaps instead of storing whole games, so our tech costs a fraction to run — a structural advantage, not a cut corner. A whole team for a year costs about what a single seat costs elsewhere, and you can start free.
Yes to both. Taggley works with any video — no special cameras or arena hardware — and it covers every position, including goalies. Arena streaming services are usually location-locked and skip goalies; Taggley isn’t and doesn’t.
Keep them! But most private coaches train skills and never watch the games, so practice and real play stay disconnected. With Taggley, do one skills session instead of three and put the rest into a coach reviewing real games with your player — that’s where game sense is built.
Privacy-first by design. Taggley is built for ages 12 and up with parental controls, so you decide who sees what — built in, not bolted on. You and your player stay in control of every clip.
Yes. Taggley is fully bilingual (English and Canadian French), built for hockey families across Canada and the United States.
